Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Chicago, IL, for full-time experienced patrol duties at a corporate technology location. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors and delivery personnel by following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, parking and exterior grounds, reporting issues.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor activity as required.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, escalating to site contacts and leadership as needed.
• Maintain a professional presence to deter unauthorized activity and welcome guests.

Pay Rate: $22.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a corporate technology location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and assist with maintaining accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain a professional presence to help deter unauthorized activity while supporting a welcoming environment for corporate personnel and guests.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
