The position requires a valid driver’s license; firearms permit and armed guard credentials are preferred. The schedule is full-time with day shifts, and pay is $21.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen may be required by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and other authorized individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly, following post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other documents per site procedures.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Hoffman, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while demonstrating Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and other authorized individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and facility concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
