Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Driver in Whiteville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will support a government corrections location by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responding professionally to site needs. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and individuals at a government corrections location while carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor activity, incidents, observations, and patrols in required reports.
• Communicate professionally with facility personnel, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns and incident response.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
