Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Armed Customer Service Patrol in Houston, TX. You will provide customer service while patrolling facilities, deterring incidents, and responding to alarms at chemical/petrochemical sites as required.

The role offers flexible hours and an opportunity to join a leading security team committed to safety and reliability. As an armed officer, you will maintain a visible presence, follow site procedures, and coordinate with emergency responders.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of armed security experience.
• Armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, a background investigation will be conducted in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, a drug screen will be conducted as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unauthorized access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, production areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, document visitor and contractor activity, and maintain accurate daily activity and incident reports.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and equipment, comply with applicable laws and Allied Universal policies, and coordinate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of experience in an armed security-related role, law enforcement, or the military.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
