Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while enforcing site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility grounds and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and report access concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies with calm, problem-solving approach and coordinate with responders.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations and complete required reports per policies.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Longview, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and embraces innovative solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific policies, access-control procedures, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility grounds, production areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor access, and report access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately and complete required reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
