Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and the public while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report access concerns to site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established protocols.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate information during shift changes.

As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report access concerns or policy violations to appropriate site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift changes.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
