As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will manage access control, verify credentials, monitor entry points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, legislators, and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entry points and verify authorized access for individuals entering restricted or controlled areas in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, issue and recover visitor credentials as directed, and communicate access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, public areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
