Essential Functions
Minimum Education
Experience: Two (2) years college/equivalent and two (2) years armed experience in law enforcement/military police/security, or four (4) years military experience in Military Police or Infantry/Combat Arms role, or a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Ability to successfully complete required training programs and maintain a special deputy commission.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Job Conditions
Must maintain a valid driver's license to operate a company vehicle. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Must be bondable and qualify for a commission as a special deputy with the Shelby County Sheriff's department. If required to carry a firearm as part of job duties, subject to random drug testing.
