Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Security Officer - Alarm Panel Monitoring in Bellevue, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points and alarms, and assist visitors and employees with professionalism. Your communication and customer service skills will support a welcoming environment while you work as part of an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $24.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and access points to help identify unusual activity, potential hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access to the property by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and reporting unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel as directed.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, while communicating professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
