Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Communications in Olympia, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service. Using clear communication and sound judgment, you will help create a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values with integrity and teamwork.

Pay Rate: $22.25 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, documenting observations and irregular conditions.


• Monitor access points and visitor activity, support applicable entry procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.


• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.


• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.


• Have customer service experience, preferred.


• Hold CPR certification, preferred.


• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
