Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Airport Vehicle Gate Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors and staff while documenting security-related observations using computer or tablet tools. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and government personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned airport areas, terminals, roadways, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, observations, and interactions accurately in accordance with site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
