Job summary

Allied Universal, Goleta, CA, is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol to monitor and safeguard client sites, with a strong emphasis on customer service and professional conduct. This full-time position offers evening shifts and a competitive pay rate of $22.75 per hour, plus benefits and our Smart Tools program to claim additional shifts.

You will perform routine patrols, respond to incidents, complete logs, and maintain visibility to deter security issues while upholding company standards

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Ability to lift 20+ lbs.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including access points and parking areas as applicable.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete activity logs and incident reports accurately and in accordance with site procedures.

Pay Rate: $22.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs. is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
