Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Vehicle Gate Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support badge and access-control activities. You will use computer or tablet systems to document observations and communicate professionally with visitors and personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport buildings, public areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and/or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Monitor access to designated areas, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazardous conditions, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
