Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Unarmed Loss Prevention Patrol in Fort Wayne, IN. You will serve and safeguard clients across industries, perform patrols, support access control and alarm response, and maintain professional communication with site personnel and visitors.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds (preferred).
• Experience with alarm panels (preferred).
• Loss prevention experience (preferred).
• Experience with access control and badge systems (preferred).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and construction personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency responses.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the site to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry; maintain visitor and contractor records.
• Respond to incidents and alarms with calm, problem-solving approaches and notify appropriate personnel.
• Document observations and shift activities through accurate reports and communications.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Loss Prevention Patrol in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a construction-focused location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control and alarm response activities, and communicate professionally with site personnel and visitors. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and construction personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the construction location, building areas, access points, perimeter, and parking areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain visitor and contractor activity records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities through accurate reports and shift communications.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
