Job summary

Allied Universal in Tempe, AZ seeks a Security Officer - Active Foot Patrol to protect and serve clients at a financial institution. You will conduct patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents, while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a visible security presence. This full-time role offers daytime-to-night schedules and a $25/hour pay rate.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years in security supervision, or 3 years in security-related roles.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity per access-control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, informing site contacts or emergency services as directed.
• Prepare clear reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security activities.

• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
