Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Armed Guard Card or License required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.

• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as conditions of employment.

Responsibilities

As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and assist with access control. • Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue: 08:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed: 08:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur: 08:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri: 08:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry as assigned, documenting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports related to patrols, incidents, observations, and response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
