Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Coordination in Sparks, NV. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and provide a visible security presence to deter incidents. Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to work a driving post at utilities sites.

Position type: Full Time with a pay rate of $23.00 per hour. Schedule includes Tue–Fri, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM shifts, with duties focused on safety, emergency response, and customer service for

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old (unarmed) or 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and the public while following site procedures and emergency plans.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, parking areas, access points, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Verify visitor/contractor authorization and maintain logs per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document clearly in reports.
• Observe for unusual conditions or hazards and report to site management.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, administrative areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain required logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and prepare clear incident reports.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, unsecured access points, and potential hazards affecting water utility operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
