Job summary

Allied Universal in Sparks, NV is seeking a Security Guard Patrol Driver Badge Control to protect facilities at a utilities location. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, monitor access points, document activities with a tablet, and deliver friendly customer service to employees and visitors.

This is a full-time role paying $25.00 per hour with DayTime shifts: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, four other days. Minimum requirements include a valid driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent, and the

As a Security Guard Patrol Driver Badge Control in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Driving Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access points, help to deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and use technology to document activities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Report observed maintenance concerns, damaged barriers, lighting issues, and other security‑related conditions according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
