Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor or contractor passes, and maintain entry/exit records as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and report to site contacts and leadership.
• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, access points, and perimeter, reporting unusual conditions.
• Deter unauthorized access by following visitor management, vehicle entry, and restricted-area procedures.

As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position with Allied Universal offers the opportunity to work with an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM


• Tue: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM


• Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, access‑control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.


• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor or contractor passes, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site requirements.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, access points, and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or policy concerns.


• Help to deter unauthorized access by following visitor management, vehicle entry, and restricted‑area procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA‑issued TWIC.


• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
