Job summary

Allied Universal in Plainview, TX is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Access Management to help keep residents, visitors, and staff safe. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, document activity, and respond to incidents with professionalism in a live security environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors while following site-specific security procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, log visitors and deliveries, report unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate as needed to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document daily activities and access-control observations per reporting requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry credentials, maintain visitor and delivery logs, and report unauthorized access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access-control observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
