Job summary

Action Facilities Management, INC (AFM) is hiring a Security Officer in Fairmont, WV to monitor facility safety and security for employees and visitors. Responsibilities include securing access, making rounds, directing visitors, and responding to alarms with incident reporting.

Shifts include full-time and part-time options; evenings and weekends may be required. Prior security experience is preferred but not required; high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of security-related experience preferred but not required.
• Good working knowledge of security operations.
• Ability to proficiently use computer applications to write reports.
• Ability to communicate in English clearly in writing and verbally.
• Must be physically capable of assisting in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security guard tours.
• Control and monitor access control systems.
• Generate incident reports and journal entries.
• Direct contractors and visitors.
• Interact with members of the public.
• Monitor CCTV.
• Monitor and respond to emails and other communications.
• Perform software monitoring tasks.
• Respond to emergencies as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
