Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Access Control Officer in Santa Fe Springs, CA to safeguard a logistics and distribution location. You will verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors.

This full-time role offers a $19.00/hour pay rate and a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Join a team that emphasizes customer service, integrity, and teamwork, with opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Control access to the facility by verifying credentials and directing authorized personnel.
• Monitor loading docks, shipping/receiving areas, and perimeter access points for unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify appropriate contacts or emergency services.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, maintaining visitor and driver logs, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Monitor loading docks, shipping and receiving areas, employee entrances, and perimeter access points for unauthorized activity, and report observations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
