Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to support access control at a Whitsett, NC logistics and distribution site. You will monitor entry, verify credentials, and manage badge access while delivering professional customer service to clients, visitors, and staff.

This position offers a Fri-Sun 2:00 PM–10:00 PM schedule, an hourly pay of $15.24, and opportunities to learn our smart tools platform and advance through internal programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in access control and customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures and site policies.

• Respond to incidents calmly and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility and perimeter to identify unusual conditions.
• Assist with traffic flow and entry procedures for deliveries.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.24 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, manage visitor and contractor sign-in processes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Assist with traffic flow and entry procedures for delivery vehicles and personnel while helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
