As a Security Officer Access Control in Newberry, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by managing visitor and employee access, issuing badges, monitoring alarm panels, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and support routine patrols to help deter incidents. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors at a food and beverage manufacturing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records.
• Observe inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, coordinate access for deliveries and shipments, and report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
