This full-time role requires vigilance and a calm, professional demeanor to deter incidents and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers.

You will work daytime and overnight shifts on a rotating schedule; a Guard Card is preferred, as are CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Guard Card/License preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control Command Desk in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Your visible presence and routine checks will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify authorization and maintain required entry records.
• Screen and direct inbound and outbound vehicle traffic at gates, docks, and other designated access areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location, including the business, perimeter, parking areas, and loading dock areas, to help identify and report unusual activity or access-control concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
