Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Control in Fort Smith, AR, to manage site access, verify credentials, and support daily operations at a food and beverage manufacturing location. You will provide professional customer service while using computer systems to log activity and respond to security concerns.

This full-time role offers weekly pay and a pay rate of $16.12 per hour. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and eligibility for background checks/drug

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by enforcing site access procedures.
• Monitor entry points, verify IDs, issue visitor credentials, and maintain access logs.
• Screen visitors and deliveries per site procedures and coordinate with site contacts.
• Respond to access incidents and alarms, reporting observations through established channels.
• Conduct patrols of entrances, parking areas, and interior spaces to deter unauthorized access.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage manufacturing location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorized access, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Screen incoming visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures, coordinating with appropriate site contacts before granting access to restricted areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting observations and concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, perimeter locations, and designated interior areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify access control concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
