Job summary

Allied Universal in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Access Control at a food and beverage location. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, and maintain a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries.

This role emphasizes customer service, calm response to incidents, and strict adherence to site policies. You will work a set evening shift schedule, with opportunities to learn our shift-claim platform and grow within a mission-driven security

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers at a food and beverage manufacturing location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control access to restricted areas in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and unusual occurrences through accurate reports and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
