Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Access Control in Hurlock, MD. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a food and beverage site.

Role offers flexible hours with a 6:00 AM–2:00 PM shift window and requires minimum 18 years old, a high school diploma, and successful background and drug screenings where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points; verify identification and visitor authorization; issue visitor credentials.
• Screen deliveries and coordinate access for authorized drivers and vendors; report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, parking areas, and interior/exterior areas to deter unauthorized access.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify identification and visitor authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Screen incoming deliveries and outbound shipments as directed, coordinate access for authorized drivers and vendors, and report unauthorized or unusual activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, exterior perimeter, and designated interior areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
