• Support day-to-day operations by reporting maintenance or security concerns and following post orders.

Security Officer Access Badge Patrol in Ashburn, VA

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.29 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas within a technology-focused location, assisting with access control practices and reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
• Support day-to-day operations by observing site conditions, reporting maintenance or security-related concerns, and following post orders and Allied Universal standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
