Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Authorization in Watsonville, CA. You will safeguard a healthcare location, monitor entry points, verify credentials, and provide excellent service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Position Type: Full Time with varied shifts. Pay rate: $20.00 per hour. You will respond to incidents, patrol facilities, and document activities, ensuring compliance with site procedures and laws.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.

You will support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and clear communication while following site procedures. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Sun 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor access records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, restricted areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Document observations, incidents, and access-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
