Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is hiring Security Officers (one full-time and one part-time) to protect guests and associates across our property. Starting rate is $20.00/hour with a commitment to Lead with Love and guest safety as a priority.

Responsibilities include check-ins with supervisors, patrolling all areas, completing required paperwork, and maintaining confidentiality. DCJS unarmed certification and CPR/AED are required or preferred; weekend availability is needed.

Qualifications

• Certified as an unarmed security officer through the Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS).
• CPR / AED certification required or preferred.
• Must read, write, and speak English as a first language; bilingual skills helpful but not required.
• 1–2 years in a security role preferred but not required.
• Hotel or resort security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check in with the shift supervisor on arrival and review security logs daily.
• Patrol lobbies, floors, common areas, associate areas, basement and grounds.
• Complete incident reports or statements and advise supervisor when finished.
• Maintain confidentiality to protect guests, associates and resort integrity.

Security Officer

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking one full-time and one part-timeSecurity Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe environment for guests and associates on company property, patrol and provide security for Kalahari property, enforce laws and company policies, and deter illegal activities from city, state and federal violators.

You’ll maintain a safe workplace and secure environment for guests, while also enabling team members to perform their duties with confidence and peace of mind.

Starting Rate: $20.00/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Check in with the shift supervisor and/or manager-on-duty on arrival, review security logs and reports daily.
• Patrol all lobbies, floors, common areas, associate areas, basement, and grounds of Kalahari Resorts.
• If an incident requires a report or a statement, complete the necessary paperwork, and advise the shift supervisor or manager-on-duty when finished.
• Provide the utmost in confidentiality with every action taken, verbally and written to protect the rights of guests, associates, and Kalahari Resorts.

What We’re Looking For

• Required to be certified as an unarmed security officer through the Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS).
• CPR / AED Certification.
• Previous law enforcement or military preferred but not required.
• 1-2 years in a security role, preferred but not required.
• Hotel or Resort experience is preferred.
• General working knowledge of local, state, and federal laws.
• Must be able to write, read, and speak English as a first language. Bi-lingual skills are helpful but not required.
• Must have open availability to work weekends and holidays.
