• Respond to disturbances, emergencies, and other incidents.

Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Unarmed Security Officer to provide professional security coverage during scheduled weekend shifts. The ideal candidate is observant, approachable, and capable of handling routine responsibilities as well as unexpected situations with sound judgment.

This position requires an active Guard Card and the ability to follow established procedures while interacting professionally with employees, visitors, and other authorized individuals.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent security presence throughout assigned areas.
• Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control equipment.
• Check identification and verify authorization before permitting access.
• Issue visitor credentials and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Observe activity for unusual behavior, security concerns, or potential safety issues.
• Respond appropriately to disturbances, emergencies, suspicious activity, and other incidents.
• Apply reasonable use-of-force procedures only when necessary and in accordance with applicable law and company policy.
• Contact and coordinate with law enforcement when an incident requires outside assistance.
• Prepare clear and accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Assist visitors, employees, and authorized personnel with a professional and service-oriented approach.
• Enforce applicable property rules, post orders, and established security procedures.
• Monitor and protect designated sensitive areas, equipment, cash, or other high-value assets.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information or observing security-related matters.
• Communicate important events, concerns, and shift information to supervisors and authorized personnel.

Required Qualifications

• Active Guard Card required.
• Previous security experience is preferred but not required if the candidate can demonstrate the necessary skills and professionalism.
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain composed and make appropriate decisions during stressful situations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand and follow post orders and security procedures.
• Basic understanding of emergency response practices.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to complete written reports.
• Ability to use application-based operational platforms such as TrackTik, Belfry, or similar systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work the assigned weekend schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CCTV, alarms, access control, or electronic security systems.
• Familiarity with incident documentation and daily activity reporting.
• Experience interacting with visitors, employees, or members of the public.
• Previous experience responding to disturbances or emergency situations.
• Familiarity with digital security reporting platforms.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, emergency responders, and law enforcement personnel.
