Job summary

AAON, Inc. is seeking a Security Guard to patrol the Tulsa facility on a Wed–Sat 3am–3pm shift. You will monitor premises, operate cameras and alarms, and enforce access control to keep staff and visitors safe.

You will respond to emergencies, de‑escalate tense situations, and document incidents with detailed reports. The role requires staying calm under pressure, strong communication, and collaboration with law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years of security experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Ability to collaborate with law enforcement and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Patrols premises on foot or by security vehicle to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitors cameras and security systems to detect threats and ensure safety.
• Responds to emergencies and coordinates with agencies as needed.
• Investigates alarms, prepares detailed incident reports, and de-escalates conflict.
• Provides directions and information to visitors and maintains access control.
• Maintains security equipment and escorts individuals off premises when required.

Job Description

• Patrols premises, both on foot and using security vehicles, to deter and detect any unauthorized activity.
• Uses various surveillance tools, such as cameras and monitoring systems, to monitor activities within the facility.
• Identifies suspicious behavior, potential threats, and violations of security protocols and recommends improvements to enhance security measures.
• Checks identification, searches bags, and ensures that only authorized personnel enter restricted areas to prevent potential security threats.
• Responds to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, and security breaches and coordinates with other agencies during critical situations.
• Uses de‑escalation techniques to defuse tense situations and maintain a safe environment.
• Documents incidents, suspicious activities, and other relevant information in detailed reports.
• Responds to alarms triggered by security systems and investigates the cause of the alarm and takes appropriate actions.
• Provides customer service by assisting visitors, giving directions, and providing information about the facility's rules and regulations.
• Maintains and ensures the proper functioning of security equipment, such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
• Escorts individuals off premises when necessary.

Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required. 2+ years of previous experience preferred.
