Job summary

Tulare Outlets in Tulare, CA is seeking a Full-Time Security Officer to patrol the Center grounds and buildings, deter theft, and respond to incidents.

You will maintain security communications, monitor critical areas, and coordinate with the Security Manager to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for shoppers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in the field or related area preferred.
• Valid Guard Card (per State requirements).
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Must be able to work independently and take initiative.
• Requires good organizational skills, attention to detail and openness to new ideas and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Protect the property both on foot and by vehicle, being visible and observant at all times.
• Maintain the security cellular phone and professionally respond to all calls for service within the Center.
• Ensure the safety, comfort and satisfaction of the shopping public by always exhibiting a professional and helpful attitude.
• Ensure critical areas of the property are monitored.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all security operations, policies and procedures.
• Document security activity using appropriate corporate and center security forms, concisely and accurately.
• Assist the Security Manager in implementing the center's Security work plan; assigned work activities, projects and programs.
• Perform all duties according to OSHA-established health and safety standards.
• Comply with all Corporate and Security policies and procedures that pertain to the Center.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with store managers and employees to enhance security and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the Center by regularly picking up trash and assisting with Food Court custodial duties.
• Serve as a team player by helping with various tasks as needed.
• Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.
