Job summary

BayCare Health System in Safety Harbor, FL is hiring a Security Officer for Mease Countryside Hospital. The role performs general safety and security duties including patrols, assisting customers, and incident response during 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM shifts.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, Florida driver's license, and security certifications (IAHSS, Security D). Experience in customer service and security is preferred. Benefits include health, dental, tuition reimbursement and 401k.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• IAHSS (Security) certification within 1 year.
• Security D certification within 90 days.
• Preferred: FDLE (Law Enforcement).

Responsibilities

• Patrol and detection services to maintain safety.
• Assist customers and respond to incidents.
• Provide monitoring to ensure safety of team members, patients, and visitors.
• Complete communication and documentation tools.
• Conduct weapons screening as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position: Security Officer

Facility: Mease Countryside Hospital

The Security Officer performs general safety & security duties including:

• Patrol and detection services

• Assisting customers

• Response and intervention responsibilities

• Provide monitoring services to assure team member, patient and visitor safety

• Completes communication and documentation tools

• Conducts weapons screening in appropriate manner

• Completes other duties as assigned

• Required specific skills also includes life safety and weapons screening techniques.

Minimum Qualifications:

Certifications and Licensures

• Driver's License (State of Florida)

• IAHSS (Security) - Within 1 year
