Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Security Officer for South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City, FL. This full-time position covers the night shift from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM and involves patrols, responding to incidents, assisting staff and visitors, and maintaining safety protocols.

Required are a Florida driver's license, and security certifications (IAHSS within 12 months, Security D within 90 days); FDLE is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service experience required.
• Preferred: 2 years security experience.
• Valid Florida Driver's License.
• IAHSS (Security) certification within 12 months.
• Security D certification within 90 days.
• FDLE security (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Patrol and detection services for campus safety.
• Assist patients, visitors and team members as needed.
• Respond to incidents and intervene when required.
• Provide monitoring to ensure safety of people and property.
• Complete communication and documentation tools.
• Conduct weapons screening in appropriate manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position: Security Officer

Facility: South Florida Baptist Hospital

The Security Officer performs general safety & security duties including:

• Patrol and detection services
• Assisting customers
• Response and intervention responsibilities
• Provide monitoring services to assure team member, patient and visitor safety
• Completes communication and documentation tools
• Conducts weapons screening in appropriate manner
• Completes other duties as assigned
• Required specific skills also includes life safety and weapons screening techniques.

Minimum Qualifications:

Certifications and Licensures

• Driver's License (State of Florida)
• IAHSS (Security) - Within 1 year
• Security D - Within 90 days
