Job summary

Landmark Hotel Group is seeking an Overnight Security Officer for the Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront in Suffolk, VA. The role is full-time and requires patrolling the hotel, reporting incidents, and enforcing safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the hotel property including outside parking lots; identify and report unusual circumstances or safety concerns.
• Document concise security reports in a daily log of incidents such as theft, accidents and safety violations.
• Complete security forms to document losses or injuries to guests or employees.
• Follow disaster and emergency policies; respond to alarms, contact authorities and provide first aid/CPR as needed.

Core Responsibilities:

• Patrol all areas of the hotel property including outside parking lots. Note, search for, handle and report an unusual circumstances, safety violations, car theft, destruction and/or suspicious or undesirable persons and escort off property, if necessary.
• Document a concise security report on a daily log including incidents of theft, accidents and safety violations.
• Complete the necessary security forms to document losses of property or personal injury to guest or employee.
• Maintain familiarity of all hotel disaster and emergency policies, procedures and regulations; respond immediately to emergency alarms or calls for help, determine course of action, notify appropriate authorities and perform first aid and CPR as needed.

Qualifications:

• Most possess a good command of the English language and the ability to communicate clearly
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Commensurate or transfer skill set is primary importance
• Good attitude and work ethic practices in order to attain maximum operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to established guest satisfaction criteria.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
