Job summary

Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Security & Emergency Services Officer to help keep Greenspring Village safe and thriving. You will patrol a 60-acre campus, greet guests at the gatehouse, and assist with non-emergency needs, becoming a trusted presence for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license required (good driving record).
• Prior security experience preferred.
• Ability to interact professionally with residents, staff and guests.
• Ability to document daily activities clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Participate in interior and exterior patrols of buildings and grounds.
• Conduct safety checks in support of Life Safety and OSHA compliance.
• Receive non-emergency calls and respond timely by radio or telephone.
• Respond to community emergencies, including fires, weather events, and evacuations.
• Create a positive first impression of the community.
• Screen all vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering the community.
• Document visitors and vendors and issue parking passes.

Location: Greenspring Village by Erickson Senior Living. As a Security & Emergency Services (SES) Officer, you'll help keep our vibrant senior living community safe, secure, and thriving. From patrolling our beautiful 60-acre campus to welcoming guests at the gatehouse and responding to and assisting with non-emergency needs, you'll be a friendly, trusted presence residents rely on. After 45 days, you'll also take part in our Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) program, playing a key role in supporting the health and well-being of those around you.

We Provide EMR Certified Training (after 45 days)

Compensation

Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour, plus applicable shift differential. The night shift differential is $.50 per hour.

How you will make an impact

• Participate in routine interior and exterior patrols of the buildings and grounds
• Conduct safety checks and inspections in support of Life Safety and OSHA compliance
• Receive calls for non-emergency service from dispatch and security by radio or telephone and respond timely and appropriately
• Respond and assist in Community Emergencies, including but not limited to fires, floods, severe weather, hazardous materials incidents, bomb threats, and evacuations
• Create the best initial impression of the community
• Screen all vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering the community
• Document all visitors and vendors/contractors and provide proper parking passes, maps, and instruct visitors to park in appropriate spaces

What you will need

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Current and valid driver's license required (good driving record)
• Prior experience in security preferred
• Ability to demonstrate professional and responsive interactions with residents and their family members, staff, vendors, and each other
• Ability to document daily activities in a clear and concise manner
