Job summary

The Snoqualmie Indian Tribe is seeking a Security Officer to patrol and monitor tribal properties, prevent theft and policy violations, and respond to incidents as they arise. You will patrol, monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings and access points, and control entry to facilities.

You will document observations, complete reports, and maintain a daily work log to be sent weekly to the Security Specialist.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six or more months of related experience preferred.
• Must have and maintain a valid Washington State Driver’s License; First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.

• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities to include maintaining a daily work log to be sent to the Security Specialist at the end of each work week.

Education & Experience

Education Required:

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• Six or more months of related experience preferred.

Certifications/Licenses

• Must have and maintain a valid Washington State Driver’s License
• Must have and maintain current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.

Other Requirements

• Must be able to pass a thorough pre-employment background investigation.
• Must agree to be subject to the Tribe's Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Policy to include pre-employment screening.

Work Environment

Work is performed both indoors, in vehicles and outdoors. Can be physically demanding, stressful, and dangerous. Security Officers must be alert and ready to react throughout their entire shift.

Tribal Preference

The Snoqualmie Indian Tribe follows the Tribal Hiring Preference as outlined in tribal policies, including the Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). TERO sets forth certain hiring preferences for qualified individuals who are enrolled in a federally recognized Indian tribe, as well as, in some cases, preference for certain family members of those individuals.

Additional Information

• This is a full-time hourly position and employment is at-will.
• Compensation will be determined based on experience and starts at $24.30 per hour
