Description

The General Resources Program Coordinator plans, organizes, and coordinates select benefit programs for enrolled Snoqualmie Tribe members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Level I -
  • Coordinator for the General Resources Program, which may include Traditional Culture and Recreation (TCR), Emergency Assistance, Transportation Assistance, Canoe Journey Benefit, and other related programs and services. and
  • Provide information and advice to tribal members, program participants, and staff regarding program content, policies, and activities. Assist tribal members to apply for benefits and access resources.
  • Track benefit usage by all Tribal Members and their minors for benefit access.
  • Orders office supplies for the department as needed.
  • Participate in department meetings and trainings as appropriate. Participate in continuing education as required and/or needed to fulfill job duties.
  • Occasionally meet with Tribal Members to assist with benefit applications. Serve as primary resource for tribal members and program participants.
Level II -

Performs all duties of Level I, plus:

  • Monitor program activities as related to established program goals and ensure they comply with Tribal, federal, state, and local regulations. Make appropriate recommendations.
  • Gather, compile, and analyze program data and prepare reports usage reports as requested. Work with tribal and other organizations and agencies regarding interpreting and implementing program policies.
  • Interprets department policy and assists with compliance.
  • Assist supervisor with planning of department goals and objectives and policy development.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
  • The Tribe values its commitment to community service and the well-being of its members. In recognition of this, each employee may be expected to perform duties from time to time which may not be related to their regular responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use tact and discretion.
  • A passion and knowledge of outdoor activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Proficient in various portal systems including Ticketmaster. Ability to troubleshoot digital ticketing issues on both iPhone and android devices.
  • Knowledge of Native cultures, history, and traditions strongly preferred.
  • Maintain confidentiality and communicate with tact and discretion.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education Required:
Level I -
  • Associate degree in Liberal Arts or related field.
Level II –
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field; or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute for degree requirement.
Experience:
Level I -
  • Prior administrative experience in an office setting required.
Level II –
  • Previous work experience in tribal resource programs and/or tribal government required.
  • Minimum of one year related experience preferred.
Certifications/Licenses:
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License
  • HIPAA certification within 30 days of employment.
Other Requirements:
  • Must be able to pass a thorough pre-employment background investigation.
  • Must agree to be subject to the Tribe's Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Policy to include pre-employment screening.
Work Environment:

Work generally takes place in an office environment within a controlled atmosphere building. Noise levels are typically low to moderate. Remote or hybrid work arrangements may be possible in accordance with the Tribe’s Telecommuting Policy.

Tribal Preference:

The Snoqualmie Indian Tribe follows the Tribal Hiring Preference as outlined in tribal policies, including the Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). TERO sets forth certain hiring preferences for qualified individuals who are enrolled in a federally recognized Indian tribe, as well as, in some cases, preference for certain family members of those individuals.

Additional Information:
  • This is a full-time hourly position and employment is at-will.
  • Compensation will be determined based on experience and starts at $27.21 per hour for level I and 31.56 per hour for level II
