Casino Omaha is seeking a Security Officer to maintain safety for the facility, guests and employees during shifts. The role involves patrols of the casino floor, parking areas, and exterior spaces, enforcing policies and reporting incidents with accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in law enforcement, security or military, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a gaming license. The position requires excellent communication and the ability to respond to emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in law enforcement, Military or Security is required
  • Valid Driver’s License is required
  • Must be vehicle insurable; SR-22 not required by policy
  • Able to type 20 wpm minimum

Responsibilities

  • Patrols casino gaming floor, hallways, exterior and parking areas to ensure safety of resources, customers and employees
  • Ensure compliance with casino policies, state and local laws
  • Provide traffic control to ensure safe flow of traffic and parking
  • Observe patrons, employees and property to deter criminal or unusual activity
  • Investigate guest concerns and reports of criminal activity and complete detailed reports
  • Escort patrons between parking lot and casino as requested
  • Coordinate investigations with local law enforcement and other emergency services
  • Physically control disorderly patrons as needed
  • Conduct regular foot patrols
  • Communicate effectively, orally and in writing
  • Provide security over daily drop as needed
  • Maintain compliance with internal control policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as directed

Job description

Position Summary:

Maintains facility, customer and employee security and safety during assigned shift. Escorts all money transfers throughout the casino, escorts armored car personnel while in the facility.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Patrols casino gaming floor, hallways, exterior of the casino and parking areas to ensure safety of all resources, facilities, customers and employees;
  • Ensure compliance with Casino policies, State and local laws;
  • Provide traffic control as necessary to ensure the safe flow of traffic and parking;
  • Conducts observation of Casino patrons, employees and property in an effort to identify and deter criminal or unusual activity;
  • Investigate guest concerns and reports of criminal activity and completes detailed reports using a computer;
  • Escorts patrons between the parking lot and Casino as necessary or requested;
  • Coordinates investigations or emergency activities with local law enforcement, Tribal Police and other emergency service providers;
  • Physically controls disorderly patrons as needed;
  • Conducts regular foot patrols;
  • Works effectively with coworkers, the public, and other law enforcement officials;
  • Communicates effectively; orally and in writing;
  • Provides Security over daily drop as needed;
  • Responsible for compliance with the Casino’s internal control policies and procedures as it relates to the position description;
  • Perform other duties as directed or assigned.

Able to perform emergency medical aid to guest and employees if required.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years experience in law enforcement, Military or Security is required, or current Police Officer Standards;

  • Valid Driver’s License is required;
  • Must be vehicle insurable; (according to insurance policy guidelines must not be required to carry a SR-22)
  • Able to type 20 wpm minimum;
  • Knowledge of proper security procedures in a public relations/customer service atmosphere;

In-depth knowledge of Internal Controls, rules, regulations, procedures and policies as it relates to Casino operations.

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.

Must have a high school diploma/GED.

Must be physically able to perform CPR and First Aid without restrictions.
