Job summary

Securitas, Inc. is hiring a Security Officer for full-time work at our Olathe, KS site. The role involves monitoring the premises, controlling access, and patrolling multiple locations to maintain a safe environment.

The ideal candidate will enforce site regulations and assist employees and guests throughout shifts. We expect strong customer service, leadership, and tech skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18+ years old.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and stay calm under pressure.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises and enforce regulations for client sites.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Complete post orders and assigned rounds.
• Provide customer service to client employees and guests.
• Operate technology devices used during the shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out tasks similar in scope to the assigned site.

Security Officer - Full Time

Primary Location: Olathe, KS

Wage Range:$18.50-$21.00/HR

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to theclient’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
