Job summary

Tandem Hospitality Group LLC is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard guests, employees and visitors at Hotel Indigo New Orleans. The role focuses on enforcing security policies, preventing incidents and upholding safety across the property.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in security, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask while maintaining vigilance during overnight shifts on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in Security role.
• Applicable state certification as required.
• High School education; Peace Officer training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrols property, inside and outside, including overnight shifts.
• Check doors and stairways to ensure security and safety.
• Respond to complaints and calls for help in a timely manner.
• Purchase, maintain and monitor security cameras and alarm systems.
• Escort unruly patrons and loiterers from the property.
• Assist with securing taxi for intoxicated guests.
• Fills out shift reports and maintains incident documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description

The Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of guests, employees, and visitors of the hotel. They are responsible for protection of all hotel assets, ensuring that hotel security policies and procedures are enforced and that the hotel is in full compliance to all local, state and federal regulations.

The Security officer also performs hotel security functions, including fire prevention, safety, investigation, and resolution of guest and employee complaints regarding safety and security matters.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Patrols property, inside and out during overnight shifts
• Check doors and stairways to make sure they are secure
• Respond to complaints and calls for help
• Purchase, maintain and monitor security cameras and alarm systems
• Escorts unruly patrons and loiters from the property
• Assists with securing taxi for inebriated guests
• Fills out report at end of shift
• Other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 3 years in Security role
• Applicable state certification as required
• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred, Peace Officer training preferred
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Knowledge of security/surveillance procedures
