Froedtert Health in Milwaukee is seeking a Security Officer for on-site coverage at Froedtert Hospital. The role involves maintaining safety for patients, visitors, staff, and facilities, and responding to dispatch calls as a visible deterrent.
Qualifications include 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license. Training in DAAT, NIMS IS-700, IC-100, and BLS is required within specified timelines.

Providing security in/around the hospital, facilities, campus, ancillary clinics and parking structures. Concentrates on the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff. Responding immediately to various levels of dispatch calls as a visible deterrent, investigating unusual circumstances, assisting with de-escalation, and security enforcement. Performs other duties as assigned.
1 year of security experience or equivalent.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Proof of training in Froedtert-approved DAAT (Defense and Arrest Practices) course within previous three years or the ability to obtain certification within 120 days of hire is required which includes de-escalation training. Must complete National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS-700 and the IC-100 courses within six months of hire. Must have FTO (Field Training Officer) program completed within 120 days. Training or academy may be site specific. Familiar with CCTV systems and operation is preferred.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50Lbs occasionally. Push-Pull force generation up to 100Lbs occasionally. Occasional stair climbing. Frequent walking. Ability to get up and down from floor to standing independently.
Valid driver's license is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within three months of hire.
