Job summary

Froedtert Health in Menomonee Falls, WI, seeks a Security Officer on-site for the Froedtert Men Falls Hospital facility. The role is 0.9 FTE, with a 36-hour standard week and Shift 3 (7 p.m.–7 a.m.).

You will protect patients, visitors and staff, respond to incidents, de-escalate when needed and enforce security policies as part of a hospital security team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year security experience or equivalent.
• Proof of training in Froedtert-approved DAAT or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire; must complete NIMS IS-700 and ICS-100 within six months of hire; must complete FTO within 120 days.
• Familiar with CCTV systems and operation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide security in/around hospital, facilities, campus and parking structures; focus on safety of patients, visitors and staff.
• Respond to dispatch calls; de-escalate and enforce security rules; conduct investigations as needed.

Job Summary

Providing security in/around the hospital, facilities, campus, ancillary clinics and parking structures. Concentrates on the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff. Responding immediately to various levels of dispatch calls as a visible deterrent, investigating unusual circumstances, assisting with de-escalation, and security enforcement. Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION

1 year of security experience or equivalent.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION

High school diploma or equivalent required.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION

Proof of training in Froedtert-approved DAAT (Defense and Arrest Techniques) course within previous three years or the ability to obtain certification within 120 days of hire is required which includes de-escalation training. Must complete National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS-700 and the ICS- 100 courses within six months of hire. Must have FTO (Field Training Officer) program completed within 120 days. Training or academy may be site specific. Familiar with CCTV systems and operation is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50Lbs occasionally. Push-Pull force generation up to 100Lbs occasionally. Occasional stair climbing. Frequent walking. Ability to get up and down from floor to standing independently.

LICENSURE DESCRIPION

Valid driver's license is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within three months of hire.
