Job summary

Froedtert Health in Wisconsin seeks a security professional to protect patients, staff, and visitors across the hospital campus including parking structures. You will respond to calls, deter incidents, and support de-escalation and enforcement of security policies.

In times without shift leadership, you’ll provide oversight for operations. An ideal candidate has 3+ years security experience, with 5+ preferred, plus a valid WI license and BLS or equivalent within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in security.
• 5 years of security experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Proof of training in Froedtert-approved DAAT course or ability to obtain within 120 days.
• Complete NIMS IS-700 and IC S-100 within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide security in/around hospital, facilities, campus and parking structures.
• Respond to dispatch calls and act as visible deterrent; de-escalate and enforce security.
• Oversee shift operations in absence of leadership; perform other duties as assigned.

Shift Details: 9:45 pm to 6:00 am. Employees will be expected to work some weekends and holidays, depending on the scheduling rotation.
Job Summary:
Providing security in/around the hospital, facilities, campus, and parking structures. Concentrates on the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff. Responding immediately to various levels of dispatch calls as a visible deterrent, investigating unusual circumstances, assisting with de-escalation, and security enforcement. In absence of other shift leadership, will provide oversight and direction for shift operations. Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of 3 experience in security required and solid problem solving skills required. A minimum of 5 years of security experience is preferred. Previous experience in supervision of staff preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
High School diploma or equivalent is required. An advanced degree is preferred or 15 plus years of experience in lieu of educational background.
TRAINING DESCRIPTION:
Proof of training in Froedtert-approved DAAT (Defense And Arrest Techniques) course within previous three years or the ability to obtain certification within 120 days of hire is required to include de-escalation training. Must complete National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS-700 and the IC S-100 courses within six months of hire. Must have FTO (Field Training Officer) program completed within 120 days. Training or academy may be site specific.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50Lbs occasionally. Push-Pull force generation up to 100Lbs occasionally. Occasional stair climbing. Frequent walking. Ability to get up and down from floor to standing independently.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Valid WI Drivers License is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
