Job summary

Froedtert Health in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a security professional for on-site hospital coverage. You will patrol the campus, respond to dispatches, deter threats, and assist with de-escalation while prioritizing patient, visitor, and staff safety.

The role requires a HS diploma, valid WI driver's license, and training in DAAT/NIMS/S-100; weekend/holiday rotation applies. Prior leadership exposure is preferred and lifting 50 lbs is part of duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in security; 5+ years preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred but not required for all shifts.
• Proof of training in DAAT and NIMS is required or feasible within 120 days.

Shift: Shift 1

Shift Details: 0530-1330 Holidays/Weekends: Employees will be expected to work some weekends and holidays, depending on the scheduling rotation

Job Summary: Providing security in/around the hospital, facilities, campus, and parking structures. Concentrates on the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff. Responding immediately to various levels of dispatch calls as a visible deterrent, investigating unusual circumstances, assisting with de-escalation, and security enforcement. In absence of other shift leadership, will provide oversight and direction for shift operations. Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 3 experience in security required and solid problem solving skills required. A minimum of 5 years of security experience is preferred. Previous experience in supervision of staff preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is required. An advanced degree is preferred or 15 plus years of experience in lieu of educational background.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION: Proof of training in Froedtert-approved DAAT (Defense And Arrest Techniques) course within previous three years or the ability to obtain certification within 120 days of hire is required to include de-escalation training. Must complete National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS-700 and the IC S-100 courses within six months of hire. Must have FTO (Field Training Officer) program completed within 120 days. Training or academy may be site specific.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50Lbs occasionally. Push-Pull force generation up to 100Lbs occasionally. Occasional stair climbing. Frequent walking. Ability to get up and down from floor to standing independently.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Valid WI Drivers License is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
