Job summary

Securitas US Business Unit is seeking a part‑time Security Officer in Grand Rapids, MN. The role focuses on maintaining a safe environment, monitoring access controls, and patrolling client sites with vigilance and professionalism.

You will support safety procedures, communicate with employees and guests, and perform duties to uphold client site security standards across shifts including evenings. The position offers on-site work with benefits, daily responsibilities, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Security Officer - Part Time

Primary Location: Grand Rapids, MN

Wage: $18.35/HR

Schedule: Wed: 7AM - 2PM & Thurs: 6PM - 7AM

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

Basic Requirements:

• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.


• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.


• Must have a professional demeanor.


• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
