Job summary

Exploria Resorts is seeking a Security Officer at Summer Bay Orlando to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues. The role involves patrolling property, monitoring alarms, assisting guests, and following resort security procedures to prevent incidents and resolve issues promptly.

The position is full-time with a DOE wage of $15–$17 per hour, requires Florida State D security license and a valid driver's license, and includes benefits and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• State of Florida class D security license required.
• Valid Driver's license required.
• Knowledge of Florida Criminal Code and procedures.
• May assist with minor maintenance problems as needed or available.
• May assist with overnight housekeeping item deliveries when department is closed.
• May handle special projects as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Checking equipment (uniforms, vehicles, radios, medical, firefighting equipment, keys, flashlights).
• Patrol of resort property to prevent or detect incidents.
• Monitor and respond to radio communications.
• Assist guests as needed.
• Record tour reports using the mobile device.
• Address suspicious activity and respond promptly to incidents.
• Use de-escalation to resolve disputes.
• Follow directions from Resort Management or supervisor.
• Maintain knowledge of all equipment assigned to position.
• Prepare and submit Incident Reports per SOP.
• Receive, store, and log evidence.
• Follow management investigations as assigned.
• Check, patrol, tour, and secure properties during shift.
• Respond to alarms (fire, gas, etc.).
• Manning the Guard House: monitor radios, direct callers, provide directions, manage access, and log shift activities.
• Report policy and safety observations as required.
• Perform special projects as assigned by supervisor or management.
• Obtain/use First Aid training as required in field.
• Attend periodic refresher training.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area for guests and employees.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies.
• Perform other duties as needed by management.

Position is responsible for the patrol of Summer Bay Resort property for the purpose of prevention, protection, early detection, or assistance of other community services or agencies.Responsibilities and Duties:Checking equipment (ex: uniforms, vehicles, radios, emergency medical, fire fighting equipment, key, flashlights, etc,Patrol of resort property for the purpose of prevention, protection, early detection, or assistance of other community services or agencies, monitoring and responding to radio communications, assisting guests as needed, recording the tour reports using the mobile device, addressing any suspicious activity immediately and responding to incidents promptly, utilize the “de-escalation” practice to help resolve disputes, and follow directions provided by Resort Management or supervisor.Maintaining a working knowledge of all equipment assigned to positionsProper preparation and submission of all Incident Reports according to standard operation procedures public by the company, including proper form use, timeliness, and proper documentation formatReceiving, storage, and properly logging evidenceInvestigation assignments as necessary and assigned by ManagementChecking, patrolling, and touring, and securing the properties during shiftAnswering fire, gas, or other alarms as needed or requested on propertyManning the Guard House.
