Job summary

Stew Leonard's is seeking a Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and team members. The role involves patrolling, reporting incidents, and working with fellow officers to protect assets. Must be able to provide excellent customer service and respond to emergencies as needed.

Applicants should be 18 or older, with a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in all weather conditions. Security Guard License is preferred.

Qualifications

• Entry level – 1 to 2 years experience.
• Security Guard License preferred

• Knowledge of Bloodborne Pathogen standards

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety for all team members and customers.
• Report all in-store accidents to the proper departments.
• Work as a team with other security officers.
• Control traffic in a safe and orderly manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Inspect interior and exterior of building for security issues.
• Prepare incident and investigation reports.
• Respond to First Aid/ CPR/AED as needed.
• Attend safety and department meetings and audits.
• Occasional travel and frequent use of company vehicles

Security Officer

FT Time Hourly – Estimated pay range $20.00 to $21.00 depending on qualifications and experience

Must be at least 18 years and older

Position Description

Provide a safe and secure environment for our Team Members and customers. To protect the assets of the company and ensure minimal loss while assisting with the maximization of profits.

Your day-to-day

• Ensuring safety to all team members and customers
• Reporting all in store accidents to the proper departments
• Working as a team with other security officers
• Controlling traffic in a safe and orderly manner
• Provide exceptional customer service

Major Responsibilities

• Inspect interior/ exterior of building for physical security issues.
• Provide a safe and secure shopping and working environment by ensuring that company safety and security standards are met.
• Respond to issues requiring First Aid / CPR /AED.
• Prepare incident and investigation reports.
• Educate Team Members in safe practices and shrink control.
• Attend and support safety and department communication meetings.
• Complete audits as directed.
• Occasional travel and frequent use of company vehicles

What you bring to the team
